Final Fantasy IV Advance: Dancer/Stripper Restoration Hack

Nintendo censorship was thought long dead, apparently it's not: when FF4 Advance was released we were all shocked to see not only were the dancers forced to wear dresses instead of bikinis but they also "removed" Baron's infamous stripper!

Okay, maybe it's not that big of deal, but the fact remains this great injustice must be corrected.

Restoring the dancers was surprisingly simple, the original graphics are still in the ROM untouched, the new graphics are in a different location, the patch just copies the original graphics over the new ones.

Turns out this also restored the stripper, it was never removed, the graphics for the dress were just blanked out...

For whatever reason Nintendo felt the stripper was a little too much for the E10
rating and censored it out of the US release. Not only that, all dancers were forced
to wear dresses. However, all they did was move the dancer's graphics to another part
of the ROM and edit them, making it easier to restore than I originally thought.
All this patch does is copy graphics the original graphics over the new ones.

Given this fact, it should also be possible to restore these graphics with a PAR/GS/CB
code, but I'm not going to bother trying.

One day after release... most stores didn't have it yesterday... is that a record?
