Super Mario Bros.: Luigi P1, Mario P2 is a modification of the classic Super Mario Bros. game for the Nintendo Entertainment System. This patch allows Luigi to serve as the first player while Mario becomes the second player in multiplayer mode. It updates in-game text and graphics to reflect this change, while retaining the original gameplay mechanics. Compatibility extends to all regional and edition releases of the game.

ENCLOSED FILES

This patch comes in two flavors.
~The easiest and least tedious file to use is the luigiedition.ips file. This patches your .NES files directly without needing to punch in individual codes. You will require an IPS patcher to use this file. I'd recommend Lunar IPS, which you may obtain at http://fusoya.eludevisibility.org/lips/
~This patch also comes with a set of 26 Game-Genie-format codes in the gamegeniecodes.txt file. These may be decoded by your emulator, an external website, or Game Genie hardware to apply some or all of the patch. This file is annotated so you can choose which elements of the patch you'd like to apply.
