Pac-Man: NES Improvement is a ROM hack that enhances the original NES port of Pac-Man, originally developed by Namco. Released in 2020, it features a complete graphical overhaul to better match the arcade version. Key updates include redesigned and recolored graphics, tweaked palettes, and the incorporation of English names for ghosts, replacing their original Japanese names.
Pac-Man - NES Improvement (formerly known as Pac-Man NES - GFX Restoration) is a hack that seeks to improve Namco's port of Pac-Man to the NES by providing a complete graphical facelift. Every graphic has been redrawn, recolored or both in order to resemble their arcade counterparts as closely as possible.

*Ported most of the changes initially made in the Japanese 'Namcot' ROM over to the North American 'Namco Hometek' ROM. The main difference this decision makes is that each of the ghosts' more widely-recognized English names will now be displayed in-game, as opposed to their original Japanese names.
