Sunman: Superman is a modified version of the NES game Superman 2 - Specter Edition. This update retains the original gameplay while replacing the protagonist Sunman with Superman and renaming the setting from Megaro City to Metropolis. Enhanced graphics update Superman's appearance and lore, including improved cutscene visuals and a new health indicator color scheme resembling classic superhero themes.
This is a graphics update Pacnsacdave's "Superman 2 - Specter Edition" hack/mod, containing a slightly modified version of Crying Onion's improved Superman title screen logo.
Apply this patch over the "Superman 2 - Specter Edition" patched Sunman game.
It keeps all the gameplay and graphics exactly the same as the original game, with the exception of updating all the graphics to be Superman as the player character instead of Sunman (and changing Megaro City in the text to Metropolis).
- The cutscene graphics featuring Superman have been retouched/updated to much closer resemble the titular character.
- The health indicator features red as the full life colour, and blue as the empty (much like in the original game, where red is full, beige is empty).
- Superman has a blue outline to bring the graphics closer to how Sunman was rendered in the original game. Additionally, a small graphics glitch involving his hair has been fixed.
- The chapter title is yellow and red (the colours of Superman's symbol).
