Nintendo has officially announced the talented duo set to bring Link and Princess Zelda to life in the highly anticipated live-action film adaptation of The Legend of Zelda. The heroic role of Link will be portrayed by the charismatic Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, while the enchanting Bo Bragason will step into the shoes of Princess Zelda. Renowned game creator Shigeru Miyamoto expressed his excitement on the Nintendo Today app, revealing that he is “very much looking forward” to witnessing the on-screen chemistry of these two rising stars.
At just 21 years old, Bragason has already made her mark in the Netflix fantasy series Renegade Nell and the BBC crime drama The Jetty. Meanwhile, 16-year-old Ainsworth is known for his captivating performance in the Netflix horror hit, The Haunting of Bly Manor. Moviegoers can mark their calendars, as The Legend of Zelda is set to hit theaters on May 7, 2027.
