Today, Sonic Team kicked off an exhilarating new campaign titled Racing Around the World, which celebrates Sonic's iconic speed and playful spirit. This initiative not only heralds the next installment in the gaming series, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, but also aims to rally the Sonic enthusiast community, motivating fans to unleash their full potential and aim high. This follows last year's Fearless: Year of Shadow campaign that celebrated the legendary Shadow the Hedgehog and highlighted his role in various media including the video game SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS and the third Sonic movie.
To launch this thrilling campaign, SEGA has partnered with Red Bull and the extraordinary stunt driver Brandon Semenuk – a three-time American Rally Association National Champion and five-time winner of the Red Bull Rampage, renowned for his remarkable stunts. Their collaboration has birthed an electrifying stunt racing film designed to ramp up excitement for Racing Around the World. The trailer introduces a fresh chapter in Red Bull’s celebrated stunt racing series, peppered with delightful Easter eggs from Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds.
“Long before I ever got behind the wheel of a real race car, you could find me immersed in Sonic the Hedgehog and any game that had that need for speed.
