The iconic developer Tetsuya Nomura from Square Enix has finally shed some light on the long-anticipated Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 and the enigmatic Kingdom Hearts 4, both of which have been shrouded in mystery for quite a while. During a recent livestream celebrating the second anniversary of the mobile title Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis, Nomura shared some exciting updates. Regarding the upcoming Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3, he confidently remarked, “We are indeed making a lot of progress with the game. We already have decided when we will make the announcement as well. And we will stick to that time schedule. So don’t worry, but please wait for it.” He didn’t stop there, as he also addressed the eager fans of Kingdom Hearts 4, stating, “On that same note, I’m seeing a lot of comments on Kingdom Hearts 4. We are making great strides and going according to schedule.” In a recent shift, Square Enix has indicated a move away from exclusives following the underwhelming sales of Final Fantasy XVI and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, both of which were initially released solely for PlayStation 5. The developer's strategic pivot has many wondering what the future holds for these beloved franchises.
