Exciting news for Nintendo fans! It has been announced that the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 will feature three distinct types of game cartridges. If you’re a collector of physical games, it’s time to pay attention to which ones you might have in your collection. The first type, dubbed Game Cards, will be exclusively compatible with the Nintendo Switch 2, including the launch title Mario Kart World.
The second category, known as Game Key Cards, won’t hold any game data themselves but will provide a download key that players will need to redeem in order to access their games. Finally, we have the cross-platform Game Cards that seamlessly work on both the Nintendo Switch 2 and the original system, illustrated by the exciting title Rune Factory Guardians of Azuma.
