Each year, the Strong Museum nestled in Rochester, New York, honors a select group of video games that have left a remarkable mark on the gaming landscape with their induction into the World Video Game Hall of Fame. This prestigious accolade recognizes titles that span from classic home console experiences to mobile sensations and even nostalgic electronic games like Tamagotchi.
This year is shaping up to be just as exciting with the recent reveal of the finalists for the class of 2025. Among the standout contenders are beloved titles such as Tamagotchi, NBA 2K, Harvest Moon, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, and Angry Birds. Adding to the excitement, the legendary Nintendo 64 game GoldenEye 007 also finds its place among the nominees. The ultimate inductees will be unveiled during an event at the Strong Museum's ESL Digital Worlds exhibit on May 8th, making it a date to mark on every gamer’s calendar.
