WCW/nWo Revenge: WCW/nWo REVENJI is a ROM hack of WCW/nWo Revenge designed for the Nintendo 64 by RagDas, primarily offering a Korean localization. The game modifies the roster, replacing various characters with wrestlers from All Japan Pro Wrestling while retaining elements from the original title. This marks the first significant alteration of the original game, introducing distinct gameplay features and arena aesthetics.
WCW/nWo REVENJI is the first ROM hack of WCW/nWo Revenge, developed by RagDas, primarily known for being a Korean translation of the original game. Additional changes are adapted from the README below:
EWF has been replaced by AJPW, and the DAW roster has also been converted, meaning the following roster changes have been made to the game:
- Kenta Kobashi (replaces Executioner)
- Toshiaki Kawada (replaces Shogun)
- Jumbo Tsuruta (replaces Dr. Frank)
- Dr. Death (replaces Jekel)
- Akira Taue (replaces Maya Inca Boy)
- Genichiro Tenryu (replaces Hawk Hana)
- Koji Kitao (replaces Kim Chee)
- Atsushi Onita (replaces Dake Ken)
- Kodo Fuyuki (replaces Brickowski)
- Tarzan Goto (replaces Ming Chee)

Masahiro Chono makes his official return from the roster of WCW vs. The World! He possesses the vast majority of his moves from Virtual Pro Wrestling 64, and occupies the final slot of DAW...at the expense of Virgil.
To round out the AJPW roster, Terry Gordy was added, who can now officially tag with Dr. Death! His moveset is heavily based on Steve Williams', with certain moves reflecting Gordy's VPW2 moveset. He replaces Sonny Onoo.
Wrath is more complete. What does that mean? No more glitched Snake Eyes or Boston Crab and an actual costume of his own (at the expense of Mortis').
Nitro has been converted into a facsimile of the 'lost' arena from VPW2.
Do note that as this was the first ROM hack of Revenge attempted, there are some issues, namely in terms of Masahiro Chono having a glitchy moveset (the methodology for creating new movesets had not yet been developed) and a general drop in framerate when more than two players are on the screen.
As a point of note, this hack would not be possible without the help of freem for having all of his documentation on Revenge (as well as all other AKI games) on his website, as well as SK Stylez for originally teaching RagDas the basics of hacking this game.
