Digimon World 2: Faithful Mode is a modification for the PlayStation game Digimon World 2, featuring a faithful translation of Digimon names and techniques. The mod restores original Japanese fonts, rebalances certain techniques, and alters Digimon evolutions and Jogress results. It introduces new obtainable Digimon and adjusts enemy encounters, enhancing the gameplay experience while retaining classic elements.
It is a simple Digimon World 2 experience which mainly features the faithful translation of Digimon names.
Features:
* Digimon names and their Techniques were faithfully translated.
* Technique fonts were restored to their original Japanese name in katakana.
* Some interesting re-balanced Techniques, for example Angemon's Heaven's Knuckle hits hard against Virus attribute. The list can be found at the documentation file.
* Digimon evolutions and Jogress results were changed drastically. The list can be found at the documentation file along with the table picture.
* More enemy encounter changes, for example wild Soulmon no longer learns Night Raid, it now learns Death Charm.
Patch:
It uses .xdelta format. You can use DeltaPatcher to apply to vanilla or base Digimon World 2.

* Added Psychemon, ModokiBetamon, Aruraumon, Geremon, Fugamon, Muchomon, Sharmamon, and Zassomon to the obtainable Digimon.

* Added more wild Baihumon, Omegamon, and Diablomon that appear in Tera Domain. They are variants that learn one of their respective unused Techs.

* Fixed the glitch which causes Ganimon unable to evolve with 6+ DP.
* Fixed the attack pattern of some wild Digimon which depends on the set AI.
* Halved the gift values needed to catch any wild Digimon with Tankmon or Ikkakumon to ease the progression of the quest in the storyline.
* Reverted the attack target of Night Raid (Vamdemon's Tech), which previously unable to hit all opposing Digimon with its interrupt effect.
V4.0
* Added the unused boss Digimon in the Core Tower 24F: Omegamon for Gold Hawk Team, Diablomon for Black Sword Team, or Baihumon for Blue Falcon Team. However, they are all reappear after defeating one of the Guardians, but they cannot be caught or obtained in the game.
V4.1
* Reverted the unintended attack effects of V-Wing Blade (AeroV-dramon's Tech).
* Fixed AeroV-dramon's attack target when battling against Omegamon in Core Tower 24F, as V-Wing Blade hits all opposing Digimon.
