Final Fantasy III: Final Fantasy III US HardType+ is a challenging modification of the Super Nintendo role-playing game Final Fantasy III US Version 1.0. This hack enhances gameplay difficulty by introducing new monsters, dialogue changes, and a revised spell-learning system. It is designed for players seeking a more demanding experience after mastering the original title.
”This is a modification of the game Final Fantasy 3 US Version 1.0. This makes the game MUCH harder and adds more flavor than the original.”
This is a difficult hack of Final Fantasy III US. In addition to being challenging there are new monsters, some dialogue changes, and a whole new way of learning magic. Overall, it's a good hack if you mastered the original game.
Make your sure ROM has a header added before patching!

Project started July 2000
I had decided to do this hack because I thought FF3us was kinda boring, and I thought it was too damn easy (like almost any US released RPG). With the outstanding support this is the final project, enjoy!
Known problems:
Q - "Why did you change so much from the original game?"
A - I just change a few things to add flavor. Hey, I gave the people what they wanted.
Q - "Did you edit any dialogue?"
A - Oh hell yes.
Q - "Why is -monster name here- so hard? It's impossible to beat him!"
A - I played the game all the way through about 4 times with minimal level ups and items to
insure a balance of difficulty and fun. Leveling up somemore should help.
Q - Follow up: "I leveled up and - monster name here - still beats me!"
A - Go to the bottom to learn how to fill out a "Progress Report", and I'll look into it.
Q - "How come on the equip screen the items don't have an icon?"
A - See bugfix section.
Q - "I coulda sworn you did something to yer hair!"
A - Again I assure you, I did nothing to my hair...trust me!

-Restored the edited monster females back to the Japanese counterparts.

Bugs:
-Fixed (08-27-02)the Magic Points after battle...some of the early ones gave 255...
-I'm sure there is a formation or 2 that doesn't show properly so if you locate it
take a screen and email it to me please.
Bugs fixed:
-Everytime you sorted your items it would kill about ? of them...didn't know why until I looked
closer. And here's the answer (other FF3us hackers listen up!): You can NOT change the default
Item Icon of it or it will totally mess it up. So to fix it I had to "delete" the icon GFX and
edit the item type description. So therefore the item doesn't have an icon directly so on the
equip screen you will not see an icon next to the item...just pay closer attention to the item
names.
