Final Fantasy III: Shorter Skill Name Fix is a patch for the Super Nintendo version of Final Fantasy III released on July 29, 2019, by madsiur. It addresses a bug where shorter skill names would merge with longer names in the Skill menu. The fix involves adding spaces to ensure all skill names consistently display seven characters. Patches for both headered and headerless ROMs are included.
If you go into a Skill menu that has a longer name than another Skill menu selection, the characters from the longer name will get appended to the shorter name. To fix this,
I added spaces ($FE) to the shorter names until they reach 7 letters.
