Super Mario World: Super Mario Pants World is a fan-created romhack for the Super Nintendo, featuring seven exits plus a castle. Designed as a tribute to speedrunner Linkdeadx2, the game offers increased difficulty beyond the original but remains accessible. Players will encounter infinite lives, a retry system, and references to the streamer within its levels, enhancing the overall experience.
Super Mario Pants World is my first Super Mario World romhack, originally dedicated to speedrunner/streamer Linkdeadx2.
It has 7 exits (+ castle) and the difficulty is much higher than the original game, although not on par with Kaizo Mario World and other hacks of that style.
You can expect infinite lives; retry system; Lunar Dragon route (moons + Yoshi coins in all levels); Linkdeadx2 references & memes
Hi! So this is my first hack ever, it is nothing special, just a short one (7 exits + Bowser's castle) inspired by other fan-made games!
Overall difficulty isn't extremely high, but it is significantly harder than original Super Mario World. I beat it without savestates, it took me A LOT of time but my skill level is around original SMW.
You also can expect infinite lives and retry system ;)

NOTE : some small freezes may occur during the cutscenes in Bowser's fight. It should not affect the gameplay or crash the game.
- Retry system added!
- No more obligatory midway after collecting dragon coins (as midways don't save them) (so Lunar Dragon route is way more comfortable)
- Unintended skipping strats fixed in 'How Original' and 'Sounds Familiar'
- Less waiting in 'How Original' (with shorter guide lines)
- 'Sounds Familiar': info-box less misleading; last jump a bit less tight
- Adjustements on some Yoshi coins (usually to either make them a bit more challenging, or more visible)
- Death blocks are now custom
- Visuals improved
~ HOW TO PLAY ~
You'll need a SNES emulator (the game was tested on SNES9x), a clean ROM of Super Mario World, and LunarIPS or FloatingIPS.
Simply open LunarIPS (or FloatingIPS), click on apply patch, double-click the IPS file of this hack, then double-click the clean SMW ROM. And it's done! (on FloatingIPS it will ask you about the about the output file, just name it as you will).
Now you can open the *.smc file in SNES9x.
I can't really help you with playing it on SNES, since I don't have the equipment to do it myself (but if you have that kind of equipment, I'm pretty sure you know how to do it!).
